Move to Dropbox button disabled

I currently use Dropbox to sync 1Password's key file between my Mac, iPhone and iPad. I'm trying to add a computer running Windows 7, but the 'Move to Dropbox' button is disabled. Here is version info:

1Password for Windows 1.0.5.189

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit

Eset Smart Security 4.2.71.2 (not sure if that might be part of the problem)

Does anyone know why the button would be disabled?

Probably because your Keychain is already in Dropbox, or Dropbox is not installed.

    Welcome to the forum, unkleho!

In 1Password for Windows, you can confirm that your 1Password data folder is within the Dropbox folder hierarchy by looking at the path shown in the text field above the Move to Dropbox button (on the General tab of 1Password preferences). It probably looks something like this:

Windows XP:

    C:\Documents and Settings\your-name\My Documents\My Dropbox\...\1Password.agilekeychain

Windows 7:

    C:\Users\your-name\Documents\My Dropbox\...\1Password.agilekeychain
If it doesn't, but Dropbox is installed on your PC, you can choose File > Open 1Password Data Folder, and find and select the 1Password.agilekeychain folder that is within the Dropbox folder hierarchy on your PC.

If Dropbox isn't installed on your PC, please see these documents for instructions:

  • Thanks for the help. All I can say is ... 'duh'. Apparently I shouldn't be installing software after staying up till 2AM playing Xbox.
