adding files to a vault

Hi I wanted to secure some personal files, and saw http://www.macworld.com/article/53326/2006/10/knox.html a drop down box that appears to make this possible. However I get a completely different set of option when I open Knox. The advanced options let me set the location and the size - but i can't see where to specify files i want put in the vault.

Newbie obviously, but can anyone help please?

    Hi murray,

You don't directly places files inside the vault when creating it.

After the vault is created and open (mounted) w/ your password (what ever you choose). You would drag your files into the vault using finder.

Well thats really the easiest way for me anyway.

Edit : The article you link to is from 2006 so I am sure most likely a lot has changed since then, I don't recall seeing that section but it has been sometime since I created a new vault.

Welcome to the forums, murray! Tommy's right: a mounted vault is just like any other disk or partition on your system with a file system that OS X utilities can understand. Generally speaking you can store files using any application you like: Finder, editors, developer tools, ... you name it. When you then dismount the vault the files are no longer accessible until you mount it again.
