Invalid data file - incorrect or damaged

I'm having a very similar issue to:

http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/4527-unable-to-use-my-existing-keychain-with-a-new-computer/

I keep getting:

Invalid Data File

Data File 'file://localhost/Users/paul/Dropbox/App Support/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain/' is incorrect or damaged. Please choose another file.

I'm using Dropbox, but have tried moving my 1Password file out of it.

I just did a clean install of Lion and I have no computer where this file is already working.
Any idea how I can get to my 1Password file?

    Hi Joe,

Welcome to the forums. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> Sorry to hear about this. Can you please see if you can restore from an automatic backup using File > Restore Data File from Backup?
  • I never made any backups from within 1Password (I wasn't aware you couldn't re-use 1Password files). Are you saying that I could restore from a backup from Time Machine? I could try that. Or are there backups hidden in my Dropbox somewhere?

1Password creates the backups automatically. Time Machine may work as well.
  • No backups show up in the list and I'm unable to choose the old 1Password file from Dropbox. (This is a totally fresh install of Lion on a freshly formatted drive.) I'll try Time Machine when I get home, I guess.
  • I also get this when attempting to open the 1Password file:

Exception: The encryption keys file does not exist at 'file://localhost/Users/jstump/Dropbox/1Password.agilekeychain/data/default/1password.keys'
  • Oh man, I feel like an idiot (one could argue that I *AM* an idiot). It looks like the full 1Password directory hasn't sync'd down from Dropbox. So let's hold off on this until I get that totally synced.

    Sounds like a plan. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> We've all done it before.
