1Password Installation on Droid Razr Maxx

I have just upgraded my old Droid Eris to a new Motorola Droid Razr Maxx and am trying to install 1Password on the new phone. After downloading the app from the market, it opens on the "Welcome and where is your data" screen. I copied my data to the root of the micros sd card so I answer the "where is your data" question by selecting the "SD Card" box. The next screen which appears is the image of the internal memory of the phone and I can find no way to select the micro SD card. How can I do that?

I tried copying the 1Password data file to the internal memory, but when I try to select it as a location, I get an "invalid location" error message.

How do I get beyond this?

    Hi adervaes,

First of all, welcome to the Forum and thank you for you interest in 1Password Reader !

I see you decided to have your 1Password data file (1Password.agilekeychain) locally on your phone's SD card (or "external storage" if your phone doesn't have the actual detachable SD card)

Another option would be to have 1Password data file inside of your Dropbox account and have 1Password Reader sync data with your Dropbox.

It looks like 1Password Reader cannot find your data file on the SD card. Fist of all , make sure that you have 1Password.agilekeychain file placed somewhere on SD card. Next, make sure

that SD card is properly mounted on your phone and not locked for the data transfer. The application is looking for the file with extension .agilekeychain , the actual name is not important.

Please navigate to the file in the 1Password file browser and click on the file (which is actually a folder). If 1Password data file (keychain) is valid (was properly copied with all its contents) it will be

instantly recognized as such and you once you provide your Master Password you will be able to see all your private data on the phone.

Please let me know if you need an additional information, I will be glad to assist you further.

    Best regards,

    Gene

I am having a similar problem. It's just on the Droid Razr.

I can see the SD card when I go to files on the Razr. Everything is there but the ._1Password.agilekeychain file. It only shows up as a the 1Password.agilekeychain folder When I plug the phone into my computer, and copy the .agilekeychain file from the computer application support/1 Password folder (like I do on my DroidX), it still won't show up.

I've unmounted, remounted, made sure it is securely in the slot, but still no luck.

And I don't know how to unlock the phone from data transfer, but I was able to retransfer the data after I deleted the folder from the Razr. So I don't think that is an issue.

I am able to link it from my dropbox, but I don't understand why it isn't working by transferring to my SD card on the phone.

    Hi MetalMD,

The 1Password data file (1Password.agilekeychain) is actually a package (set of files) and looks like a folder on your phone's SD card. If you have Astro file browser installed on your phone, please navigate to this folder and examine its contents. File with the name ._1Password.agilekeychain you don't need, delete it.

Make sure that the folder 1Password.agilekeychain has a subfolder data/detault and there are some files in this subfolder.

1Password for Android is looking for the critical files contents.js and encryptionKeys.js, they must be present here. In addition, there are some files with extension .1Password are representations of your secure items in the file system.

If these files are not here, the 1Password keychain is not recognized as valid in the 1Password file browser and the message clearly states so.

It is pretty easy to tranfer files from your computer to your phone but the procedure is slightly different for different phone models.

For example for transferring data to my Galaxy Nexus Tab and Galaxy Nexus from my Mac I use Android File Transfer Utility which you can easily download and install on your computer.

For Galaxy Note I just plug in the phone to USB port and I instantly see the device in the Finder, it looks like an USB drive and I drug files and folders here without any issue.

Please refer for your phone manual for more information.

    Best regards,
