1PW on iPhone does not auto-sync w/Dropbox

1PW Pro 3.6.2



When 1PW touch (on iPhone) supposed to auto-sync? It seems to me that it sync only when I go to Settings:More:Sync:Dropbox, (although I don't need to press the "Sync" button). I thought it was supposed to sync automatically also on other occasions. Perhaps when I open 1PW, or even periodically at the background even without opening 1PW.



Anyhow, it seems to do it only when Settings:More:Sync:Dropbox screen is open, as I mentioned above.

Hope your well ?



It should sync when you unlock the app. You should not need to go to the sync section unless for some reason auto sync was turned off. If you have recently changed phones etc (upgrade) you may want to reset the dropbox sync its locate inside the sync settings. I have noticed several weird things like this before when changing phones and or restoring an OS from within iTunes etc.

I didn't change phones recently, but maybe something else happened sometime in the past. The sync was working so good for so long that I usually don't bother to check it. However, I just realized recently that I am missing new items on the iPhone.



I'll try the reset.



[and perhaps the sync page should show some alert if (auto) sync was not done for a while, just as a safety measure].

I am good we just adopted our 4th child a while back about 4 months now I believe. So I have a 14y, 8y, 2y, 1y, all boys.



We adopted another 2 siberian huskies making my grand total of 11 now.



So you can imagine my food bill around this place.



Nice to hear from you again.



I like the safety measure idea not sure how far my suggestions will go but I like it.

Agreed.



Did resetting Dropbox syncing from within the 1Password iOS app do the trick for you, though?

Yes. I think so. Of course the next sync took a long time (which is expected, as I have about 3300 items). It also shoed several 'conflicts' from the Mac side. After verifying few entries, I felt comfortable enough (together with some 'laziness') to accept all the entries as appear on the Mac. All ended fine.



I then added an entry on the Mac side; opened 1PW on the iPhone, and resisted the 'urge' to go to the sync screen (because this would have started the sync). Instead, I looked and saw that my new item did appear in the list, which mean that the auto sync did happen.



So all seems fine now.
