Strange message in one of the iMacs

Zack

Hi there,

I have OS X 10.6.8 and 1Password 3.8.17 on 4 of my iMacs / MacBookPro. One iMac is giving me warning message every few hours or less:

"Enter the password for keychain 1Password. This is the same password you used to first time synchronize your keychain "1Password' with .MAC."

Dialog stays for about minute and dissapears. I tried all possible passwords I used and nothing clears this. I would like it gone since it usually pops up in the middle of other work so it actually interrupts data entry or what not.

1Password software is not affected and works fine across all computers.

Any suggestions?

regards,

Zack

It sounds like an issue with the OS X keychain. Years ago 1Password stored information using the OS X keychain format but it doesn't anymore.

Can you open Keychain Access (found in /Applications/Utilities) and let me know if you see a "1Password" keychain listed?

If so, open Finder, select Go > Go to Folder… from the menu bar. Copy and paste the following path into the input box and then press Return:
~/Library/Keychains/
Remove the 1Password.keychain file you see there and archive it.

Please let me know how it goes.

    Khad, thank you for advice!

I did everything you said and found actually 2 x 1Password.keychain files. I removed them and stored on the desktop for now. Now we'll see if anything else with happen on that iMac.

That should resolve the problem, but let me know if you have any other trouble.
