Does the browser add in use a separate data file than the installed app?

I have 1PW installed on my Windows 7 machine. I use Google Chrome and have the icon visible in Google Chrome.

I'm seeing that the Google Chrome 1PW drop down has more entries than does the PC installed app.

Do these use different data files? Also, my android phone & iPad both sync with the PC installed app. So both also have fewer entries than does the browser add in.

Where are these two data files found, and how do I merge them without doubling entries to have a single data file.

Hopefully the one in the dropbox directory.

Thank you for your attention.

Due to increased security in browsers, applications cannot directly read and write data within their sandboxed extension data. Therefore the extensions in Safari and Chrome have a sandboxed data store that is synced with the main app. It sounds like your has gotten out of sync.

Are you seeing a red badge on the 1Password toolbar button in Chrome?

Please try all the steps in the user guide and let me know how it goes:

  • There is no red badge by the 1PW icon. Mine located by the Chrome wrench, upper right corner.

I did however remove the Chrome extension and replaced as directed in the "Troubleshooting the new browser extensions" you guided me too.

Although, the initial try to log in from the browser did not prompt 1PW to create a log in, I did manually create a log in from withing the 1PW app. This did immediately show in the Chrome extension drop down.

This will work for me. All equal and matching now.

    Thank you for your help.
