Forms not filling in chrome [Resolved by disabling "Better Pop Up Blocker" extension]

edited March 2012 in Windows Beta
Not sure if this is the right forum, because I think this is an extension issue (as far as I can tell there is only an extensions for mac forum), but as of a couple days ago 1password no longer fills forms in chrome for me. It happens on every saved login I have.

Instances where this happens:

When I visit a site and the specific site shows up in the top of the 1password extension. No forms are filled and nothing is submitted when I click on the site in the extension.

When I visit a site and try to use the hotkey no forms are filled and nothing is submitted.

When I open the extension and click on a site in the extension, a new tab opens with the site, but no forms are filled and nothing is submitted.

I am running:

1Password for windows 1.0.9.beta-282

1Password Extension for Chrome 3.9.0.39099

Windows 7

Chrome 17.0.963.78

I have tried:

removing and reinstalling the browser extension

removing the browser extension and installing the current beta extension (as of 8:26 PM on 3/8/2012)

Deleting and recreating entries in the Chrome extension

Notes:

When I try to enter credentials with the extension, it looks as if it selects the first field where credentials would be entered but enters nothing.

Please help!

    Hey Ben,

You are in the right spot. Thanks for posting this in the Windows forum. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

Are you using the NoScript extension?
  • Figured it out!

I was not using the NoScript extension, but your post made me think about other possible extension conflicts. The culprit ended up being the "Better Pop Up Blocker" extension, specifically the "document.createEvent" option under the Blocked Functions list. I ended up removing that extension since that was the only reason I was using that particular blocker.

    Thanks for your help!

    Great! I'm glad things are working well. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

I'll keep that extension in mind as we troubleshoot issues for others.

    Cheers,
