Helper not connected in Safari

bottleneck
edited March 2012 in Windows
Hi, there. I have an intriguing situation. On one computer I have a perfectly working Safari extension on a PC and on another computer I have not! Both computers have the latest 1Password: 1.09.280; the latest extension support: 3.9.0.39099 and Safari 5.1.2 (7534.52.7). I have quit Safari, reinstalled Safari, reinstalled the extensions: all to no avail.

There is an essential difference though. The failing connection works behind a proxy. However, Chrome works fine. I have added the necessary exceptions in IE LAN settings but that does not make any difference. Clearly, it is unable to communicate but I am at a loss as to why. I have requested 1Password Helper to restart too.

Puzzled! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_sweating.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(sweat)' /> Any help gratefully received. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_yes.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(y)' /> <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_yes.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='(y)' /> Thank you very much.

    Hey Stephen,

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble. If Chrome is working well, then it doesn't sound like the issue is the proxy configuration. And you have already stepped through the troubleshooting guide?

To help us track down the issue more quickly, could you please email us your Diagnostics Report? If you have an email client installed, you can send the report more easily by selecting Help > Diagnostics Report > E-mail to Agile. If you don't have a desktop email client, you can select Help > Diagnostics Report > Export to File. Then open your webmail, create a new message to support AT agilebits.com, and just upload the exported file as an attachment to that message.

Please include a link to this thread in your email message so that we can "connect the dots."
