1Password Setups not responding [RESOLVED in 1.0.9.286]

FilthyLee
edited March 2012 in Windows
Hi,

Since v1.0.9.272 I cannot update 1Password, because any setup I start, be it install from the native update checker, install from the downloaded full version or uninstall from the win7 Control Panel, gets stuck just seconds after the progress par appears, and switches to "Not Responding" in the task manager. In that state, the setup window can no longer be interacted with in any way, save ending its process.

I've already tried disabling my security software, since it likes interfering with things, but it doesn't seem to be the problem here.

Hope someone can help!

Welcome to the forums, FilthyLee. I'm sorry that you are having this problem.

As far as I know we just use a standard installer. Are you having trouble installing any other applications? Are you running from a non-admin account?
  • Hi,

I am having the same problem. I cannot get the update to run after it downloads. I have tried to run it several times through 1Password for Windows itself, and from the website. It stalls seconds after the progress bar appears. I have to cancel it through Windows Task Manager.

Any ideas? I have not had any trouble with other applications, and am running from an Admin account.

    Thanks,

Please download 1.0.9.286 and try again: https://agilebits.com/onepassword/win/release_notes
  • Thanks for the swift responses,

So far, no setups for any other applications have caused this problem, and yes, I'm running the setup on an administrator account.

I'll try installing the version above as soon as I can.

ejh52 has confirmed elsewhere that 1.0.9.287 resolved the problem. Any update on your end, FilthyLee?
  • Sorry for the hideous delay, but yes, the new version(s) fixed the issue.

    Thanks!

No worries on the delay. I'm just glad that everything is working well. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
