Does 1Password require installation?

I would like to have a program that I can carry on a USB stick .. or retrieve from Dropbox .. which did not require installation, but ran as an executable.

As a Tech, I am often wanting to access remote sites from a client pc, I'd rather not be installing a program on their pc just to use my passwords.

Can I do what I want with 1pwd?

    Hey Brian,

We understand the need to have 1Password data readily available when you're on the go and we've built a feature into 1Password called 1PasswordAnywhere that will give you read-only access to your data wherever you have access to your 1Password.agilekeychain, it's perfect if you're using Dropbox. Please take a look at our documentation on 1PasswordAnywhere to find out how to use it at the link below:

I hope that helps, please let me know if either solution works out for you!

It is mentioned in the User Guide to which Chris linked, but I want to make sure to specifically point out that you can use the 1PasswordAnywhere feature on a USB flash drive. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
  • Thanks, Chris and khad

I've installed the demo, and see what you're talking about.

How's the program doing on android? Is it stable and working well?

Sure, but don't take my word for it. The Android app is free. Give it a try. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
