password not updating in chrome/firefox plugin
in Windows Beta
Hi,
I have an issue where a password for a login account is not updating in both the plugin for both Chrome (18.0.1025.162) and Firefox (11.0). I updated the password last night on a different computer and this morning the old password is still showing in the browser plugins. The correct password is displayed in the full 1Password application (same computer).
I tried restarting the helper service and restarting the browser but the password still hasn't been updated. FWIW, the plugin for Internet Explorer does show the correct password.
Details:
1Password 1.0.9.292
Firefox plugin 3.9.4.b1
Chrome plugin 3.9.4.39401
Windows 7 64bit all latest updates applied.
Dropbox syncing.
Happy to provide any additional info that would be useful.

Please try removing the extensions and then reinstalling them. Removing the Firefox extension is a bit more "involved" because it does not remove the SQLite file automatically like other browsers:

2. Remove the 1Password extension.
3. Enter about:support in the address bar and press Return.
4. Click the "Open Containing Folder" button.
5. Quit Firefox.
6. In the Explorer window that opened, go up one level in the file hierarchy.
7. Move the OnePassword.sqlite to your desktop.
In Chrome, you just need to remove the extension just like you would remove any other extension.
Then reinstall each extension from 1Password's preferences on the "Browsers" tab.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, please let me know if you are behind a proxy server and what security software you are using. Certain programs can block 1Password if not configured correctly:

I was having this problem exactly when I moved from a local keychain to a Dropbox keychain that I use for my Mac, phone and PC. The 1PW add master pw was saved on Dropbox, but when I used the plugins for Chrome and FF, I had to unlock using the old password. Also, I think the plugins were using an old version of the data, as new logins I saved on my Mac didn't show up on the PC.
So i uninstalled the plugins for Chrome and FF, Chrome worked fine, but FF required the steps the author listed here. I restarted FF, and Voila, I am in.
