Extension versions (Stable vs Beta)

Just re-installed the beta Chrome extension and was wondering about the version numbers.



Chrome stable is at v3.9.4

Chrome beta is at v3.9.4.39401



How does the version numbering work?

Is beta 3.9.4.39401 the development version of stable 3.9.5?

    There is no beta version at this time. The version in the beta channel is just a placeholder until a new beta is pushed. The extensions are identical.



    A new beta (or stable) will have a new version number. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
