Command line workflow
Hello!
I'm aware this question was raised at least once which I think is not enough to get it into production but anyway here is my reasoning why this is needed.
I have a lot of accounts stored in 1Password which I use from command line (github, nodester, ssh, ftp and some project related passwords).
At the moment I have to open 1password, find what I need, copy, get back to terminal, paste.
It's annoying and possibly not secure.
What I want is a command line utility which can:
- unlock/lock 1password
when it's unlocked
- give back a user name by a query string
- give back a password by a query string
I still hope this feature lands before 1Password 5 <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
P.S. What's really displeasing keychain allows this already but now I'm locked into 1Password. What could help is a way to import/update passwords from specific keychain bundle. Actually this could be a workaround.

Welcome to the forums, Nek! Thanks for the feedback. I will certainly pass your vote for this along to the developers. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Apple provides no easy way to export OS X Keychain data, but there is a script available. Just select File > Import > Safari from the menu bar in 1Password for instructions.
If we can be of further assistance in the meantime, please let us know. We are always here to help!Flag 0
