Change to Chrome Extensions policy

Hi, I just recently tried to install a Chrome extension, and was rejected due to this policy change:

I was able to circumvent the problem by following the "Advanced" instructions:

Steps on adding extensions from other websites

We recommend you only add extensions from other websites that you trust. In Chrome, you can follow these steps to add the extension:

Download the extension file from the website and save it to your computer.

Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar.

Select Tools > Extensions.

Locate the extension file on your computer and drag the file onto the Extensions page.

Review the list of permissions in the dialog that appears. If you would like to proceed, click Install.
I'd suggest adding the 1Password plugin to the Chrome Web Store to make it easy for others in the "broken" path

Welcome to the forums, dcuccia! We need to get the instructions updated for Windows, but they are included on the Chrome extension download page along with screenshots.

Google recently began requiring extensions in Chrome to be installed through the Chrome Web Store. We're working on making the 1Password extension available on the Chrome Web Store, but until then you can still easily install the 1Password extension in this manner.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with. Cheers!
