Question about the trial version for windows

I've just downloaded the windows trial version of 1 Password and it doesn't appear to be the same product that's illustrated in the user guide.I don't seem to have the option to set a master password to access the passwords I store in the trial product. It this correct or have I made some sort of error? I thought I read that the trial was a full version of the actual product.

    Welcome to the forums, Vickie! Thanks for your interest in 1Password. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    The free trial of 1Password for Windows is a 30-day free trial of the full version. Can you send me a link to the page of the User Guide which is not matching what you are seeing? There is no way to use 1Password without setting a master password. What happens when you lock 1Password by clicking the lock icon in the upper left corner of the window? Are you not prompted for a master password?

    Could you post a screenshot of what you are seeing?
  • Hi there,

    I love to send you a screen shot of what I see when I double click on the product desktop icon, but I can't figure out how to get it into this message and don't see an email address to forward it to. Here's a link to the screen shot I expected,

    http://help.agilebits.com/1Password_Windows/getting-started.html

    My screen is similar, except there are three buttons that read as follows;

    "Create new 1 Password Data"

    Open existing 1 Password Data"

    "Restore 1 Password Data from Backup"

    These options are surrounded by a white border with a button reading "Exit" at the lower right

    I'm thinking somehing went wrong with the download/install, As I cruse through the User Guide, non of those screen shots appear when I attempt to use the program. I'm running Windows 7-64 bit. I'm using Explorer 32-bit.

    Thanks,

    Vickie

    We added the third button a little while ago but have not updated that screenshot in the guide. The software is always being improved and sometimes it can be hard to keep up with. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    You'll need to click the "Create new…" button on that screen if you haven't yet. Once you have gotten past the welcome screen, then you can begin actually using 1Password.

    Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
  • Got it!
