Chrome Extension Plugin blank

I loaded 1 Password and it works fine on my PC, but when I go to the Chrome plugin there is nothing. Zip. It is totally blank. Done the same install on two other PCs and this one - but this happened after I installed the base 1Password.Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums, mtatge! Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

Could you post a screenshot of what you mean when you say "blank"? Is the 1Password "key" button showing up in Chrome's toolbar like this?

What happens when you click on the button? Do you see a completely blank extension popup? Or is the extension functional just missing your data? A screenshot of what you are seeing would be the best way for me to understand what you are seeing.

While I'm waiting for that, I'd recommend removing the 1Password extension from Chrome's list of installed extensions and then reinstall the Chrome extension from 1Password's preferences on the Browsers tab.

Please let me know how it goes and post a screenshot if you're still having trouble. I'm sure we can get this resolved for you. Thanks!
  • Hi, I will try to post a screen shot later today. The icons show up, but there is not data for any of the categories. I have installed and de-installed the plug several times. What is weird is all my data shows up on the desktop version of 1Password. Where I have the problem is in the Chrome plugin (key icon). I am using a similar version of Chrome to my laptop where it works fine. It is a 64-bit system. Do you still want to see the screen shot? Thanks, MT
  • One other thing I forgot to mention - I also installed the plugin for Firefox on the same computer. It works fine. Chrome is the problem. But I have this on two other machines and I have no trouble with it at all (similar configurations.) - MT
  • Here's the screenshot. Please let me know what I need to do. Wasn't sure how to get it to you so I uploaded it. If it looks strange it is because I am running two monitors. Best, MT

Thanks for the screenshot. I think I've seen that happen before, but I can't recall the solution offhand. Could you send us a Diagnostics Report? I'd like to check a couple things. Select Help > Diagnostics Report > Export to File from the menu bar in 1Password. Then attach the report to a private support ticket:

Once we see your report we should be able to help more. Thanks in advance!

One thing you can try before sending us the Diagnostics Report is to simply make sure that you are running the latest versions of 1Password (1.0.9.296), Chrome (21.0.1180.89), and the 1Password Chrome extension (3.9.7). I just searched for a couple other support ticket with the same symptoms and they were all running an outdated version of Chrome.

If you're still having trouble, please send a Diagnostics Report as requested above. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Cheers,
