1Password-1.0.9.299.exe cannot start due to incompatibility with 64-bit Windows

In trying to accept the latest update for Windows 1Password, I get the error message indicating the upgrade is not compatible with a 64-bit Windows O/S. I run Windows 7 64-bit. I've never experienced this with any previous updates under Windows 7.

Welcome to the forums, PBehne! Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

I am not able to reproduce this problem at all when using 1Password in Windows 7 64-bit. Is there any chance that you have somehow set 1Password to run in Compatibility mode? I don't think that should give the error you describe, but it's the only thing I can think of offhand.

Could you post a screenshot of the exact error message?

Try downloading a fresh copy of 1Password and install it again:

  • Thank you, Khad.

I just uninstalled and reinstalled fresh and see if the next update applies with out issue.

Sometimes it's a good thing to restart fresh.

I take it things are working well after reinstalling then. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Please keep me posted in the future.
