Some feedback

Hi All, I use your product on my Mac, iPhone and iPad and have been impressed. Since I use Windows at work and tend to carry my work gear around more than home gear; having a Windows version is becoming an issue. Your existing Windows PC version is out dated, looks and feels like you put less than 50% of the same energy you put into the Mac version. The Windows Phone 7 version only working with DropBox makes it a waste of time for you to develop and to expect mass adoption. Once Windows 8 goes live at the end of the month I'm going to need to pick a usable product that follows the metro look and feel and works across both PC and phone. I'm really hoping you will come out with a last minute product so I can invest even more cash in your company. However the general BS about under promising and over delivering leads me to think you have nothing. Such a shame!

Welcome to the forums, Dan! We appreciate your kind words about 1Password for Mac and iOS.

We deeply appreciate customer input. We have always preferred to let the software speak for itself rather than trying to lure people in with promises of future features or improvements. In fact, I'd never encourage anyone to purchase 1Password (or any product) based on claims of future features. On the contrary, I would advise you and others to always use the tool that meets your needs as best as possible today. If that's not 1Password for you at this time, then we will keep working hard in the hopes that one day it is.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I have passed your feedback along to the developers and would be happy to pass any additional feedback to them as well.
  • Since 1Pasword DOESN't Work with Windows8RT, How can I export the data to a Program that DOES work? I need it in CSV file format, which it appears not to be supported by 1Password Export feature..

1Password for Windows does work with Windows 8, including the Surface tablet with Windows 8. Unless you are running a Surface tablet with-Windows-RT-without-Windows 8, there should not be a problem.

Indeed. 1Password is not currently available in Windows RT but works well in Windows 8. Did you know they’re two different OSes? Learn more in our blog post:

Chasvs, if you need to export data, you can do so at any time. You can export your data to a standard CSV (or TSV) file or to the 1Password Interchange Format.

    1. Select File > Export from the menu bar.

    2. Comma-delimited text (CSV) will be selected by default, but you can choose tab-delmited or 1PIF as well.

When looking in the Agile Online Store, Windows 8 isn't listed under system requirements for 1Password for Windows.
