Dialog box and 1Password

Hey guys,

We are having problems using 1Password when a dialog box is involved (e.g. attached file). Is there anything I can do to make 1Password work?

Thanks a lot,

Mike

From the HTTP Authentication Prompts section in the 1Password User Guide:
Some websites do not ask for your username and password directly in the web page itself. Instead they use HTTP Authentication (also called “basic access authentication”) which causes your browser to slide in a window asking you to login.

At this time the browser extension APIs do not allow 1Password to fill these prompts directly. You will need to copy and paste your Login details from the main 1Password application.

We are working on a solution to this.
Please let me know if there is anything else we can help with in the meantime.
  • Same issue here. Would love to have an solution. As a webdesigner i'm using the HTTP Authentication for all of my websites i'm working on.

    Hi @swipi,

Unfortunately, there isn't any solution for OS X. Safari/Chrome has not bought over the HTTP Auth APIs for the extensions. Firefox looks like they may have started on it and we're looking into it, but at the moment, there's no real solution.

You'd have to copy and paste each time. I apologize for the inconvenience.
