On the Mac, there is an option to stay logged in for X minutes. If you unlock the 1PW the application, you do not need to put your master password in when using the browser extension. It also works the other way, unlocking the browser extension lets your launch 1PW without having to retype the password.



Can the same type of background process be added to Windows? I feel like I am retyping my master password all the time.

    The options are essentially the same on Mac and Windows. Are you saying that the extension is locking before before the time you specified in 1Password's preferences? Which browser?
