Login doesn't save, also doesn't sync via Dropbox

Using 1P on a W7 laptop and Mac desktop synced via Dropbox, usually works but recently just noticed there's nothing under my login info for my DirecTV account...but when I click on the button in the toolbar there are *two* entries...I changed my password at directv.com and saved it but there is still nothing in the application itself under Logins (this is all on the laptop)...it seems to sync via Dropbox but when I go to my Mac desktop (10.7.5, FF 16.0.1) there are nothing either under the 1p button or in my copy of 1p on that computer...what's up?

The most common cause of data not being in sync between the extension and main 1Password application is a proxy server or other "Internet security" programs blocking the secure connection between the sandboxed browser extension and the main 1Password program. Workarounds for both of these are outlined in the guide, and the latter has its own page linked in step seven:
