Windows update problem, cannot rename file

Quite often this year when 1password wants to update, it does not work properly. Over 50% of updates fail during installation because the installer cannot rename a file in the programs(x86)/1password directory. This problem causes the program to fail, and to remedy the problem I have to uninstall it, then reboot and delete the 1password directory, then download and install from the website. This is becoming old. I am running a fully updated version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (SP1). It always works on my mac and apple products.
