1Password with Webinterface ("portable" version)

Dear all,

more and more I saw the necessity of a good protection of my passwords - and now I am a happy owner of 1password. One problem: I am working on several computers, mainly at university where I do not have admin rights. Therefore I cannot install 1password on it. Now I know that this has been discussed before here and that "The main 1Password program requires admin rights at install time". So I thought how can I still get acces to my passwords wherever I am without decreasing the security? And came to the following conclusion:

Is there anyway I can access my (with dropbox synced) passwords over a web interface from AgileBits? In the way like that I have an account on your website and it is linked with my dropbox. I log into the account and the web interface decrypts my passwords (from the dropbox) and they are accesible on all kind of internet devices!

Is there any chance of such a feature soon? I know there are a lot of people with smartphones and laptops out there but others like me still rely on a universal access and the web seems like the best way for it, no?

  • Lorenz,

Have you tried to use 1Password Anywhere through the Dropbox web site?

You won't be able to automatically login using the browser extensions, but you can at least copy and paste data through that interface if needed.
  • Wow, that is so amazing. Better than I thought and still secure. Thank you very much - and I am sorry for having posted before properly looked up the subject. Thank you very much and: Great work!!
