Spanish translation

Hi,

I've been checking the beta for translation mistakes into Spanish. I've discarded not translated texts as I assume they'll be translated later on. These are the issues I've found to far.

By the way, I rarely used 1p for iphone before, but it is now on my home screen. Not because I'm testing it, but because I'm loving it.

The Internet is a small place. Hi, buddy!

By the way, I had noticed most of the errors you posted here, but was waiting for an update to the Spanish localization, which I think is imminent. We’ll see if these have been corrected.

    Ángel.
  • Hi Ángel, small world indeed.

Another thing. I'm not a translator, but I would translate Master password as Contraseña maestra instead of Contraseña principal. Ángel, what do you think?
  • I'll wait for an updated translation before reporting missing strings, but I also agree it should be Contraseña maestra, it just sounds weird as principal.

    Hi guys,

Please do wait for us, we're working on getting you guys a way to offer your suggestions in a more efficient/collaborative method. It's taking us some time but we should have something in a few days. I'll update it here as soon as we have it ready.

    Thanks!

    Hi again,

We just finished the translations project, please join us in helping translate 1Password in Spanish here: http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/11151-help-us-translate-1password/

    Thanks!

@MikeT Hey, I've been translating quite a few phrases, but I've found some are a bit difficult without a bit more context of where will it go.

Also, I haven't been able to find a way to see previously translated phrases, it'd be good to be able to do this so that maybe someone else can think of a more fitting translation for something. Apart from that I love the system you're using for the translations! Very simple and fast, plus, it saves everything by itself! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Hi Manolosavi,

I do apologize about that. Unfortunately, none of the system we tested offers a way to do this, this is an inherited problem for many services like this. Ask your questions in Transifex and we'll try to reply where it goes.

Generally, it might be better to just use 1Password on your device and if you see something out of place, search for that string in Transifex. That should give you some contexts.

Note, you do have to press "Save and Exit" when you're done, so it applies to the project as the auto-save is just for your temporary use.
