iPad 2 initial iCloud sync issues
Is this bug reproducible?
No
Which devices did this bug appear on and is it reproducible on any devices?
iPad 2 Wifi 32GB
A quick summary of the bug:
I first installed the 4.0b22 (400122) on my iPhone 4S. I manually activated Dropbox sync, that's how I got all my items. I then deactivated Dropbox sync, and immediately activated iCloud sync instead. When the sync was finished, I launched the beta on my iPad 2 for the first time.
When I did that, the app openend the launch screen, but seemed to hang there for about 5-10 seconds. I tried to tap on the gray bar, but nothing happened. Then, after a few seconds, I was taken to the welcome screen. I tapped on the iCloud sync manually, but it wasn't recognized, not even after relaunching the app.
Detailed Step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce it:
I was unable to reproduce it. I deleted the app from my iPad, reinstalled it, and after launching it again it all worked initially as expected. The iCloud sync was recognized immediately, and I had to enter my master password.
I don't know if I was too quick launching the iPad app after syncing for the first time with iCloud via my iPhone, but the sync was definitely finished. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Hi Blacklight,
This is likely because the iPad 2 didn't have a chance to finish its data download from the iPhone 4S. It takes time for the data blocks from iCloud to arrive before 1Password can use it.
Unfortunately, we don't have the total control over how much we can tell if the data arrived or not from iCloud. However, we'll try to adjust the message to try to restart the 1Password app after waiting a bit to see if that'll fix the issue for the users.
Hopefully, we can get some help from Apple on how to handle this better in the future.
Thanks for reporting this.Flag 0
