First of all, I'd like to echo the tremendous praise that I've seen others shower on you all for this update. It's truly breathtaking. Looks fantastic, and overall has been quite a step up in usability and quality over v3.

I'll try not to say things that I know already have a post on the forum. Here are a few things that I ran into while working though:

Current device information:

1Password 4.0b23

iPad 2 with iOS 6.0.1

iPhone 5 with iOS 6.0.1
Apparent on both devices:

[BUG] When syncing, it seems to go much slower when the "Sync" window isn't open. For instance, I open 1Password on my iPad 2 and nothing appears to sync. I open the "Sync" window and the progress bars are sitting at about 5%. As soon as the window is opened, they begin to move. Dropbox seems much more erratic than iCloud. The progress bar fills up about 2-4 times before the sync is completed, where as iCloud goes through one full cycle before it's finished.

[IDEA] Syncing happens every time I unlock the app, even if it's only been 5 seconds since I exited and relaunched. This is more than likely just a result of having syncing across many devices, but it seems to happen in excess. It's fairly quick, but just thought I'd throw that in.

[BUG] When adding items via the Favorites tab, and using Search, the gradients don't line up and the padding seems overly small at the top. Seems like the gradient from the Search bar should extend into the title bar, or a separator of some sort should be present.

[IDEA] If you have multiple tabs open in the browser, it would be nice to see how many tabs are open. Maybe even a "tap-hold" on the icon to quickly jump to a specific tab?
Only on iPad:

[IDEA] Portrait mode on the iPad seems like a proper case of form over function. It's really hard to navigate through the list of items, and there's no search mode. Would make more sense to me to mimic the landscape mode, but just in portrait orientation.

[BUG] When creating a New Tab in the browser, there is a graphic anomaly where it looks like a repeating gray bar (about 5px) is replicated across the white URL bar.

[IDEA] Since there is ample room on the left hand icon bar, it would be kind of cool if you could "favorite" folders and those could show as an icon on the bar, it's its own little section.

[BUG] When opening multiple tabs in the browser, more than 5, if you don't tap on one of the older tabs to the left before you begin closing them, the tab bar's left hand positioning is off. It creates a gap of about 200px until you open 2 tabs and select the first one.

[BUG] If two or more tabs are open, and you close a background tab. The focus is never given back to the initial tab that you were in. The window shows the proper contents, but the active tab is left in its inactive state.
Only on iPhone:

[BUG] Animations are very slow when switch tabs in the browser. Swiping left and right is fluid, but when you tap on a window, the fly in feels like it's dropping some frames.
If I run into anything else, or things are squashed/changed in future updates... I'll update this post.

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for the detailed report, we appreciate it.

    Both devices

    1. Dropbox works differently than the iCloud. There are actually two different processes going on in the Dropbox section that iCloud doesn't have. When you download the data from Dropbox, the iOS app has to first download the files and then convert your older 1Password data format into the newer data structure we use in 1Password. That's why you see the bars showing up twice many times. The same thing for the update, it converts into the old 1Password format and uploads it to Dropbox.

Dropbox may be erratic if there are some huge file attachments it has to pull in multiple parts (they have limits of how big of a file you can download through the APIs), which can slow down the sync a bit and might give the erratic syncing speed.

iCloud does not do all of that, so it's a smooth process all the way across as it doesn't handle any old formats. In the future, this new data format will spread to Dropbox as well. We plan to expand more details on this as we go alone.

    2. This is intention, rather than keeping a timer, we only sync through two conditions: Unlocking and item changes.

    3. Good catch, we'll improve it.

    4. On the iPhone, the numbers of tabs are indicated in tab button on the bottom toolbar. We're working on something for the iPad version but I don't have a timeframe on this.

    iPad

    1. The portrait mode hasn't been finished yet, it's still in the middle of being coded. A search bar will be added, and improvements will be made. It's only been added a week or two ago.

    2. This should be improved in today's update, beta 24, please update and see if it looks better

    3. Oooh. We were thinking of some kind of bookmarks, your idea of favorites is even better because it'll pull all Logins from your Favorites view. We'll look into it.

4-5. Like in number 2, it should be improved in today's update, please let me know if it isn't.

    iPhone

    1. We're working on the animations, there were many feedbacks about missed frames including the unlocking scree, switching between vault/web modes as well.

Just wanted to say "kudos" on shoring up everything. You guys rock, as usual, and I'm super impressed by 1Password 4.
