An important component is missing....

I had a red exclamation point on my 1Password button that was located in Chrome. So to fix it I tried to open the 1Password app to see if there was something I could do and I got an error message about missing a component. Now what? I don't want to uninstall and lose all my info.

Your info and the 1Password Application are two separate things. Deleting the application will not delete your data file. Your data fill containing all your entries is stored elsewhere.

Do you integrate 1P with Dropbox? If so, then the data file would be in there. Otherwise, there is a local folder on your computer that has all of your keychains (information).

I would check to see where your keychain is stored, back it up on somehow, and then reinstall the application as advised above.

My advice is to do what the error message says: re-install 1Password (you can download the latest version here: https://agilebits.com/onepassword/win/release_notes).

As for your 1Password data - un-installing 1Password won't touch it (won't delete it). You can safely re-install 1Password without your 1Password data getting affected.
