Some thoughts on 1Password 4.0b26
I just updated 1Password on my iPhone 4S to the newest beta 4.0b26 and I want to share some of my thoughts with you.
In general, I really like the new version with all the new features and the new design. Especially the option to display favicons from webpages is really great.
The latest beta is (of course) the best version of 1Password 4, but I still have some things I want to tell you, that don't work perfectly or are at least a little strange for me.
1. Opening up the in-app browser in general and specifically it's tab-view doesn't work as fluid as I'd like it to do. The animations are a little lagging and still don't provide the best user experience.
2. After updating the app and logging in with my master password, it took about 20 seconds until I could do anything and the buttons reacted on my taps. I don't know if that was because the app did something with the database or something, but maybe you can address this problem in your development process.
3. The german translation is really good, but the translation that's used for "Recommend" in the settings tap is a little too long and doesn't look very well. Maybe you could change "Empfehlen Sie 1Password writer" to "Empfehlen Sie 1Password". This would be short enough to fit on the button and look nice.
4. The german description of the demo mode has two strange arrows in it (see attached screenshot), of which I'm not sure where they belong or if they are just a mistake. Maybe you can take a short look here and decide to give them some more explanation or just take them out.

Hi Yannik
Thank you for your feedback and suggestions!
Do you see the 20 second lag after each and every update, or just that one time? I am unable to reproduce such a delay myself.
I was wondering if you can help improve the translations by joining our translation project here: http://forum.agilebi...late-1password/. There are a few people helping improve the German translation already (it appears that the word for recommend has already been changed to 1Password weiterempfehlen) and you are more than welcome to join them. The weird arrows are intended to be carriage returns. I will change them accordingly. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0 -
Thank you for the answer. I wasn't able to reproduce the lag, I didn't happen again.
In the newest beta there's only one more thing: The german translation in Settings > Security from the bottom at the bottom should be "Jetzt sperren", not "Jetzt Sperren".Flag 0 -
Hi Yannik,
I'm glad to hear that isn't happening again. It may have been something else.
As for the translation, somebody already made that correction in the translation project, so that should be fixed in a future update soon. If you have more suggestions, you can help us by joining our translations project here: http://forum.agilebits.com/index.php?/topic/11151-help-us-translate-1password/
