VoiceOver Bugs

Ok, so I've been testing on my iPhone 4 and 3rd Gen iPad, and I have to say, y'all have done an awesome job- this thing is amazing! I don't care what anyone says, even at $17.99, it's a steal. The app was very stable for me overall, and I came across no bugs while using voiceover within vault mode. I did however find a few bugs when using the browser and tab switcher.

Is this bug reproducible?

Yes, I can reproduce it on my iPhone and iPad

A quick summary of the bug:

The bug takes different forms on the iPhone and iPad, but does the same thing. When using the tab switcher on the iPhone, VoiceOver thinks that the page that you were viewing before activating the switcher is still there, and as you try and select the tab to go to, or the close button, it still reads the items and moves the focus area as if that page was still there. It makes switching tabs on the iPhone almost impossible for a voiceover user, and it did hang a few times, forcing me to exit the app to use VoiceOver again. On the iPad, all the items in the browser work with voiceover, but when you switch to a blank tab, there is again ghosting of the items in the blank area of the page, resembling the page you just switched from.

Detailed Step-by-step instruction on how to reproduce it:

Enable VoiceOver and launch 1Password

Navigate to any item in the vault, and follow the web link to the browser

Now activate the tab switcher and try to navigate to another tab, notice all the items that voiceover hangs on.
If a video of the bug in action would help, I would be happy to record it for you.
Thanks again for all the great work on this amazing app,
Timothy Gregoire

Sorry for the delayed reply, Timothy. Thanks so much for your kind words.
What I am seeing in my testing is that VoiceOver is still somehow looking at the most recently active web page even after activating the "Show Pages" button.
I will pass this along to the developers right away. Thank you for providing this feedback. If you have time to make a video, I would love to see it just in case I found a separate issue. I'd like to make sure everything is working as best as possible.
Cheers!Flag 0 -
Thanks,
Yes, you are correct. I noticed it with the switcher on the iPhone, but I have an iPhone 4 and can't mirror it, but I did mirror my iPad and record the bugs presence there. Heres a link to the video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cf3oxefj0li8c7a/VoiceOver%20Error%20iPad.mov
I'll continue testing and see if I find any other bugs,
Thanks!Flag 0 -
Hi Timothy,
Thanks for the video, I've shared it with the devs in the same issue that Khad just filed with the developers.
We've just released a new update (beta 30) that includes many fixes related to VoiceOver that can cause 1Password to crashed with it enabled. It doesn't have a fix for your issue just yet but we're still working on it.
