    iOS 6 will be required for 1P v4. Sadly the iPad 1 cannot run iOS 6. I was not happy about that myself. So I gave it to my kids.



    I expect one of the admin can give you a slew of reasons why iOS 6 is required.

    Unfortunately, there won't be any love for iPad 1 as Apple didn't give it any love by not releasing iOS 6 for it. Majority of the 1Password 4 is coded with iOS 6 APIs (additional security benefits, new features that older iOS doesn't have that 1Password can use now, etc), so that's the minimal requirement for 1Password 4.



    If you need 1Password for your iPad 1, you'll be able to use 1Password 3.x for iOS on it instead, which will sync fine with 1Password 4 on your newer devices. So, we'll be supporting both 1Password 3 and 4 for a while.
