Hey Mike
I know we talked about this in another thread but I am having trouble finding it. When attempting to view a mail message stored in 1p I click on it and it fails to display. I then click in the button in the upper right hand side that gives me the option to open in mail or email it.
If I have the open option it looks like 1p is simply not passing the data to the mail app. If I email it to myself mail will open it.
I don't mean to be hard headed but would you mind asking Roustem about that. I know you guys know way more than me but it looks like it should work.
I am able to get boxcryptor to open my Dropbox vault and open a similar type in mail. For the record we are talking about *.eml messages saved directly from the Mac mail app.
I would forever be greatful so I don't have to convert all those email messages to PDF. Again it just looks like to me the data simply is not getting passed. If boxcryptor can open the .eml extension inside Mail on an iOS device I would expect 1p to be able to do the same.
Again I don't mean to press but I think there is something here thats amiss that can be fixed, But I am not developer.

Hi Tommy,
Are you saying BoxCryptor on iOS can pass the .eml file successfully to Mail.app? I'm not sure what they're doing but I'm not able to reproduce it in Dropbox app for an example.
From Dropbox, I asked it to open the .eml file in Mail, nothing happens, it behaves the same way as it does in 1Password. I believe there's a bug in Mail.app itself that it can't open .eml files from there.
Note, I asked 1Password to open it in Dropbox, it transferred the file successfully there. So, it is working fine there.
I'll ask but I don't think there's anything Roustem can do if Dropbox can't do it either.Flag 0 -
I dont even know if I want to reply to this I swear I opened the file 4 times today. I was sitting in front of my Mac and typing and going round and round on the Phone and I was like hell yeah.
I cannot reproduce it. But I swear it opened. 4 times I tried and 4 times it opened.
I am not making this up. I now have a mission I will try this day and night till I can reproduce and make sure to get screen shots.
Damnit this makes me mad I am not going crazy.
OH well till I have proof keep on moving dear friend. I will not bring it back up until I have a picture. Though now I think it will do no good because if it took this much to get it to open its not worth it.Flag 0 -
Hi Tommy,
Maybe try rebooting your iOS device if it is a bug in iOS and then see if that'll open it directly but a quick look at Apple Support Communities seem to confirm that .eml files are a bit unstable in iOS but I can't confirm it as an isolated glitch to < iOS 6 because many of those recent threads were before iOS 6.
Hopefully, you'll find something soon. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0 -
Hi Tommy,
I confirmed with Dave, he have the same issues that I mentioned, it is not an issue in 1Password but likely a bug in Mail.app, so it really can't work with .eml files.
I'd recommend sending in a feedback report to Apple here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html or if you have a developer account with them, file a bug report.Flag 0 -

Do and will do <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> It will most likely come back as a duplicate but they'll add it to the original or I can re file under the original. Its been a while since I filed one. ThanksFlag 0
