Suggestion: Show Version Number in Software License Overview

I have more than one software license for one application. For example I have 4 licenses for VMWare Fusion (Version 2, 3, 4 & 5).

So when I am in the Software Licenses Overview screen I see four times VMWare Fusion with a license-key below it but unfortunately I cannot see to which version this license belongs. To see the version I have to go to the details. There the version number can be found.

Would be nice to have the version number also in the overview.

    I'm for it. Same thing for VMware minus v2. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':P' />

    I've always wanted this. Hopefully it gets implemented. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
  • Seems like b32 has this implemented for new items. Any chance this can be applied to existing items?

This is strange as the rich app icons for Things or TextExpander don't show up for me. Even after re-install of b32 no rich icons ? Even 1Password is not showing a rich icon. Woz up ?

Well, that's strange. With beta 32 version number is displayed with the demo data but not for my software licenses.

However I am glad you picket up the suggestion. Just needs a little fix and it will be fine I guess. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />

    Hi guys,

We can't modify your previous items, they only apply to the newer items or when you do a fresh install. You can edit the item, make a tiny change and 1Password will update it to show the version number.

However, if you have a lot of software license items, it is quickest to erase the data in 1Password, restart and let it sync again, this will make 1Password use the latest template data and make it show the version number for all items.

Are they named "Things" and "TextExpander"?

Try creating a fake new software license item, call it "Things", add some random data like "version: 2" and then save it. Does that bring up the icon?
  • Advanced -> Erase Data, then a re-sync totally worked. Thanks!
