1P container + TrueCrypt container

1User
edited December 2012 in 1Password 3 for Mac
For many years I use TrueCrypt container on the NTFS file system and had no problems. A couple of times I tried to move the 1P container to partition TC, but always had problems with. Sometimes not given 1P choose your container highlighting his gray. One time I was able to do it, but one day 1P stopped to see him and there was a crash.

Please perform testing.

PS: I use NTFS for reliable drivers Tuxera or Paragon and I have no problems with other software.

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.

One of the first things I would recommend you do is to move your data file outside of the TrueCrypt container to eliminate it as a point of failure. 1Password will not allow a data file to reside on a removable volume (this includes disk images and TrueCrypt containers) for stability and data integrity reasons. If the container is unmounted when 1Password starts or becomes unavailable at any time — especially while 1Password is trying to write data — serious problems can occur. This is the same reason 1Password does not support an active data file on an external drive or network share.

I understand that you have been running with this setup for a while with no errors, but I believe it may have only been a matter of time before this caused problems. I'm sorry if that is not the answer you were hoping for.

Please let me know if you are still having trouble once you have moved your data file outside of the TrueCrypt container. I would love to make sure things are working well for you.
