Will the classic backup return?

Nope, but the replacement is even better. WAY BETTER! <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
Tap Settings > Syncing and turn "File Sharing" ON.
Then you can grab a live copy of your data file via iTunes File Sharing feature. The old backups were only useful on iOS devices. This new File Sharing option is an actual, honest-to-goodness copy of your data file, so it can be used on any supported platform for manual wired syncing as well as serve as a manual backup. You can even access the 1PasswordAnywhere feature from the data file, so it's a backup you can read in any modern web browser.
Also, you don't have to worry about screwy LAN configurations botching it up since it works through iTunes itself (either wired or Wi-Fi just like iTunes syncing itself).
It is better than the old system in ever single way. There's no reason to go back to horse and buggy when we have a Ferrari now. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />Flag 0 -
Hi Khad,
I'll give it a try. Thank you <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/skype_smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':-)' />Flag 0 -
This came up in another thread, but it just occurred to me that it would probably be a good idea -- if at all possible -- to find some way to automate this in 1Password 4 for Mac.
Trying to use iTunes File Sharing as a local sync service is going to be cumbersome at best. If 1Password 4 could at least perform a local sync to the right files in the right places, this actually would make it a suitable (and much better) replacement for the old Wi-Fi Sync.Flag 0
