Does new 1password v4 support old data?

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I am holding off for the new version of 1P on my iphone, but I have to make sure it supports the old data I have created on my PC and MAC, which I have already purchased a family license for. In other words, if I buy the new version of 1P on my phone, do I need to purchase a new license for my computers?
