Screen becomes black for several seconds
Sometimes, I get the problem that the screen becomes black aftter I started 1password, went to secure notes and moved the mouse pointer to some content for copy and paste. The screen becomes black for a few seconds and than the normal screen appears again. If i move the mouse within the 1password window, the problem occurs again. I only can avoid the black screen by leaving the 1password window. Any ideas? Version 1.0.9.305, Operating System Windows 7
Kind regards
Jürgen

Welcome to the forums, Jürgen! Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.
This sounds very strange. When you say the "screen becomes black" do you mean your entire computer screen or only the 1Password app's window?
It almost sounds like some kind of problem with your video driver. What specific video card (hardware) and video driver version (software) do you have installed? What is the make and model of your computer?Flag 0 -
Thank you, khad,
the entire screen becomes black, especially if I go to secret notes and then in the preview window below the listed items. The issue occurs on a Deld E6220, Win 7 64bit and Intel HD Graphics 3000 video card (driver version 8.15.10.2347 from 28.03.2011). Obviously there is no newer driver available.

Interesting. There was an issue with some flickering in the Firefox extension on Dell E Series laptops. I'm wondering if this issue is also related to the specific model and graphic card they use.
For that other issue, the solution was to disable Firefox's hardware acceleration (which was sort of doing the opposite of accelerating anything).
I'm not sure what to suggest if the problem is in Windows itself (i.e. outside of Firefox where that option is available).
Are you using an external monitor?Flag 0
