Logging in item
With the last couple of weeks I have occasionally had attempted logins at many sites fail. Eventually if I click different ways, I can always log in. The issue is mostly when I click in the open 1PW program on an entry. If I navigate to the website I want, click on the "Sign In" link I can always get in by using the Cmd+\ key combination.
When the issue occurs, a window opens and the message in the window reads,
{"status":400,"error":{"global":"Enter your username and password"}}
I have attached a screen shot.

That appears to be a problem with the site itself — on the server side. 1Password works on the client side, so it isn't really related to 1Password if that is the case.
I can't reproduce any trouble with the Xmarks login page in my testing. Try saving a new Login item for it and see if that helps. I'm wondering if you have a "weird" URL saved in the Login item, a URL that is NOT the Login page as 1Password is expecting. if you save Login items via the browser extension on sites' login pages, they will always have the correct URL since 1Password learns that along with the form fields when saving Logins via the browser extension.
What you can try is saving a brand new Login item:
1. Enter your credentials, but DO NOT submit the form.
2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.
3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).
4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.
Using the above technique I was able to save and fill a sample login at:
https://login.xmarks.com
Manually saving a new Login can be useful for logins that are either problematic to begin with or were once working but have since stopped. Saving a new Login item allows 1Password to refresh everything it "knows" about the page. Login pages often change as websites are updated and this can be a necessary but very useful tip. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I also noticed that you had the password change page open. I'm wondering if you tried to fill and submit your Login item on the password change page. That could theoretically cause some unexpected results. (However, it really does look like a server error.)
Please be sure that you are following the steps in the User Guide when trying to change your password on a site:

Please let me know how it goes.Flag 0 -
I am embarrassed, but you asked for a reply which I certainly owe you. My issue was not with Xmarks. Rather my browser was showing Xmarks when I clicked on a saved Login for Georgia Power - our electric utility which is owned by Southern Company. I had two Logins for Southern Company, one of which had an old password. Once I deleted the erroneous login, all my issues left. My browser is the Mac version of Safari, so the specific screen item I saw may be specific to the browser.
Many thanks to you and the entire Agile Bits team.Flag 0 -
Ah. Thanks for letting me know. It sounds like there was an incorrect URL in that Login you deleted. I'm glad everything is working well. Let me know if you have any other trouble. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
