Firefox browser extension not syncing on windows
Hi--I use 1password across several different computers, some Mac, some PC, and all with Firefox. All of my computers (Mac and PC) are working just fine except for one of my PCs (a laptop, running Firefox 16, Windows 7). I can login to the Extension, but it doesn't seem to connect with my master 1password datafile that's in Dropbox like all the other computers do. When I go to the desktop program on this same PC it works just fine, so I have to cut and paste all passwords that way instead of being able to use autofill from Firefox. It's annoying and I can't figure out why this is the case. It used to work, just one day all of a sudden it stopped...I don't recall at the time if it was when Firefox did an update or anything like that. FYI, I have made sure I'm running the latest version of the extension, of 1password itself, and of Firefox.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!!!

Welcome to the forums, klew44! Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having some trouble.
The first thing I would recommend is updating to the current version of Firefox. The version you are using is not in fact the current version. It is always important to stay up to date with your operating system, browser, and 1Password for the latest security and compatibility fixes. 1Password should would with Firefox 16, but there are important security fixes and other improvements in Firefox 17.
If you're still having trouble in Firefox 17, let's try completely removing and reinstalling the Firefox extension. Other browsers handle the removal of the SQLite file automatically, but you will need to do this manually for Firefox:
1. Open Firefox.
2. Remove the 1Password extension.
3. Enter `about:support` in the address bar and press Return.
4. Click the "Show Folder" button.
5. Quit Firefox.
6. In the Explorer window that opened, go up one level in the file hierarchy.
7. Move the `OnePassword.sqlite` to your desktop.
Then reinstall the Firefox extension from 1Password for Windows' preferences on the Browsers tab.
Once everything is working well, you can safely move the OnePassword.sqlite file on the desktop to the trash.
If you're still having trouble, please let me know if the 1Password extension works in Chrome. Knowing the answer to that will help us narrow it down pretty quickly.Flag 0 -
