Does 1Password 4 still sync with 1Password 3?

Looking for forward to 1P4 on iOS - I am wondering though, with 1P4 for Mac not being released at the same time. If I use categories, favorites, etc with the iOS Version, what will happen when I sync to the "older" Version of 1P on the Mac?!

    1Password 4 will continue to sync with all current versions of 1Password across all supported platforms: Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Some of the new features for catagorizing (like Favorites) will obviously not be supported, but all data will be preserved.
