Will 1password 4 for Mac be on sale when introduced?

I see that your sale for 1password for Mac has ended. I was going to purchase it since it was on sale because I just found out you guys will allow free upgrades. So will version 4 be on sale when introduced? You guys have been saying how your going to be generous and introduce the iphone version at a sale price, so I figured you'd do the same for the Mac version. However, I do not see anywhere where you guys are saying the Mac version will be on sale when introduced. If it's not on sale when it's introduced than I'm not going to purchase it. That will be very disappointing.

If you already have version 3.9, which you presumably do as you're in the 3.9 forum, then you'll get a free upgrade to version 4.

I don't know about the Mac version but I've just downloaded the new version 4 for iPhone and iPad at an offer price of $7. Worth every cent. I still think that the Mac version will be a free upgrade if you already have version 3.9

I do not have version 3.9. I have the latest 3.8.x version. I was about to buy 3.9 since I heard it was on sale and theres a free upgrade to 4.0. But now the sale is over. I thought the sale would be going until christmas. I guess not. Disappointing.

Nothing I write should be construed as a promise or guarantee of anything in the future, since the future hasn't happened yet and anything could happen between now and the time that 1Password 4 for Mac is released. Ok, thanks for the info! Can you say whether 1Password for Mac could be coming soon, or is it still a ways away? I ask so I know whether to check for this daily, weekly, etc, depending on when it may be released. I understand something could happen and change things.

I'm wondering, I'm new here and just purchased 1Password 3.9.6 for Mac OSX from MAS. Will I get a free update to version 4? If not, man that is a ripoff!

I had purchased my 1Password (current version 3.8.20 build 31499) directly from Agilebits. When version 4 comes out will I have to re-purchased it again? I hope that answer is "No". I see I am not able to upgrade to version in the mac app store (3.9.6) Looks as though I would have to re-purchase the whole app for the same price I originally purchased it for?

1Password 4 for Mac will be a paid upgrade. Folks who purchased on the Mac App Store have essentially "pre-paid" for version 4 and are getting 1Password 3.9 to use until 1Password 4 for Mac is released. The current upgrade price for 1Password 2 for Mac to 1Password 3 for Mac is $34.99. A launch sale of 50% OFF would mean the upgrade from 1Password 3.8 for Mac to 1Password 4 for Mac would be only $24.99 — $10 less than the previous upgrade price.
