Still unofficial "Look Up in 1Password" bookmarklet in 1P4?

MarkLin

Hello!

1Password 3 is by far one my most often used and favorite apps! But before I decide to upgrade to 1Password 4, I would like to know, whether there is still the unofficially "supported" bookmarklet by which 1Password can be invoked from within Mobile Safari (or Chrome, too!) and searched for the password according to the current website.

Even it is deprecated it is one of the best, most user friendly and most useful feature, which is - for me - absolutely crucial, so that I would not upgrade, if it is not working anymore.

(The build-in browser is a nice gimmick but no real alternative for anyone to abandon Safari, Chrome etc.)

If you could answer my question within the sales time, I would be very thankful!

    Welcome to the forums, MarkLin!

The URL scheme for 1Password 4 for iOS is onepassword4:// but search is not supported at this time. It is on our list (literally):

    Please stay tuned. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

That said, I think you may also find that the new tabbed browser is better than you expect. Several people are using it as their main browser now. It's completely different than it ever was before.

  • Thank you for your answer, khad! I'm really glad to hear that URL sheme is supported and that search will be implemented. That makes me much easier to buy the new version.

    Best wishes!
