Adding a family member
I just purchased the family membership for Windows and installed myself as a user. So far, so good.
I understand there is only one registration key that the family is supposed to share, but just how does one create a new "profile" on the same computer. When I re-download the software, and re-enter the key, there is no prompt to enter a new password. Please advise. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums, rscheetz! Thanks for purchasing a family license. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
You'll need to set up a new Windows user. The exact technique varies depending on which version of Windows you are using, but here are some instructions:

Windows XP

Windows Vista and 7

Windows 8
Then each user will have their own user data for not just 1Password but all programs. It's (almost) like gaining a second computer. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />
I hope that helps. Please let me know.Flag 0
