1 PW doesn´t start when I use the key symbol in Safari

Hello,

I have a strange behavior when I use the Key Symbol to start 1PW over Safari 6.02.

The open dialog starts and I will be asked in the upcoming dialog for the Master PW.

After that, when I pressed enter, the dialog will say..

"syncing" 1..2..3..4..5..

I don´t use syncing over dropbox.

Any suggestions?

Thank You

Talarion

I'm sorry that you are having some trouble. Let's get this resolved for you. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

The "syncing" you are seeing is not related to Dropbox or any cross-platform syncing. It is trying to sync the sandboxed extension database to the main application, but something is preventing the Helper from connecting.

Please try restarting 1Password's Helper. Select Help > Troubleshooting > Restart Helper from the menu bar.

Also, can you confirm for me that "Keep helper running…" is enabled in 1Password's preferences on the Extensions pane?

Lastly, open Activity Monitor (found in /Applications/Utilities) and let me know if you see `1Password Helper`, `1PasswordAgent` both, or neither in the list of running processes.
  • Thank you..!

    before I do something unneeded..

Could it be possible that this problem rely to my problem before? (reset Safari, Ccleaner Tool)

    Thank you..

It shouldn't be related. The problem here is that the Helper cannot connect. Even if you wipe out the browser extension's database it will be recreated once the Helper connects.

Please follow the steps in my reply above and let me know the answers to the questions as well so we can get this resolved for you. <img src='http://forum.agilebits.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

    Helper restarted.

Keep helper running was already enabled.
Lastly, open Activity Monitor (found in /Applications/Utilities) and let me know if you see `1Password Helper`, `1PasswordAgent` both, or neither in the list of running processes.
The Activity Monitor shows (when 1PW is running unlocked): 1 Password 57,4MB, 1 Password Helper 17,9MB

Thanks for those details. So far everything sounds correct. Try removing the Safari extension. It is the same as removing any other extension from Safari. Here are the steps:

    http://help.agilebit...afari_extension

Then reinstall the 1Password extension in Safari:

    https://agilebits.co...mac/safari.html

If you're still having trouble, could you please send us a Diagnostics Report? Since you are using 1Password 3.9 (from the Mac App Store), you'll need to follow the instructions here:

    http://support.agile...lebits-help-you

Then attach the entire file to an email to: support AT agilebits.com.

Please include a link to this thread in order that we might more quickly "connect the dots" when we see your Diagnostics Report in our inbox.

Please do not post your Diagnostics Report in the forums, though.

Once we see your report we should be able to help more. Thanks in advance!
