Sudden sync problems

Hi, I had my Mac and iOS versions syncing through dropbox perfectly until just recently (not sure when the issue started).



As of now:

- Changes on the Mac app sync to Dropbox. I can see the change in 1Password Anywhere. And the change syncs to my iPhone.



But,

- Changes on my iPhone sync to Dropbox. I can see the change in 1Password Anywhere. but the change is not on my Mac.



So, I've lost syncing one way (iPhone to Mac) somehow. But syncing Mac to iPhone still works.



ps. I'm not using iCloud. Just dropbox...



any help is appreciated.

  • ok, I haven't changed anything, or any settings...but it seems to be syncing now both ways. But, this kind of inconsistency is making me very nervous...

    Workaround for you:



    When one of my Macs does not display edits done elsewhere, I do HELP > TROUBLESHOOTING > CLEAR CACHE and then the changes become visible.

  • Thanks. I'll try clearing the cache. Things seem ok now, but it makes me nervous...I mean, I hadn't changed anything on my end and just stopped working... thanks.

    There are many moving parts including the Dropbox servers, so if there was any temporary issue with the Dropbox servers that would be one possible explanation. Without seeing a Diagnostics Report and getting more details it is impossible to say, though. If things are working well, I would worry too much about it — 1Password makes a backup of your data file every data automatically. But please do email us a Diagnostics Report if you have any further trouble.
