The 1Password button disappeared from the browser's toolbar

If the 1Password extension disappears from your browser's toolbar, your browser might just be having 'a case of the Mondays.' The extension is probably still installed, but for whatever reason, it might have just gotten removed from the toolbar. Here's how to add it back:

Safari and Firefox users

  1. Right-click in your browser's toolbar where the 1Password button should be, and choose Customize Toolbar
  2. A sheet appears containing all the buttons you can drag and drop onto your browser's toolbar
  3. Look around to find the 1Password key button (Note: You might need to scroll down in this window, especially if you add a lot of extensions)
  4. Find the 1Password key button, then drag and drop it where you would like it to appear on your browser's toolbar
  5. Click Done and resume enjoying an excellent 1Password experience

Note to Firefox users that are using the Profile Switcher extension

Please disable this extension temporarily or update to the latest version as this extension is known to be incompatible with 1Password in Firefox. It'd cause 1Password to disappear from the toolbar if an older version of Profile Switcher is installed. Note that Firefox will not update it automatically. We'd recommend removing it and installing the newer version instead.
