How To: Configure Cookie Stumbler for use with 1Password

There are some applications that try to keep your browser clean by deleting cookies and other files. Sometimes they can delete files that you want to keep. The 1Password browser extension stores its data in an SQLite database, and by default, Cookie Stumbler removes 1Password's database as part of its cleaning process.

The developers of Cookie Stumbler has indicated to us that this is a bug and will be fixed in a subsequent update. Until then, the following will allow 1Password and Cookie Stumbler to co-exist.

To stop Cookie Stumbler from deleting your 1Password database, simply uncheck "Maintain Web Browsers" in Cookie Stumbler's preferences on the Cleaning pane as shown in this screenshot.
