Why doesn't 1Password on my mobile device see my data file in Dropbox?

If you're using 1Password 3.9 from the Mac App Store, keep your data file in Dropbox, but find that your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad has trouble finding it, this is a known bug that we are working to squash.

In the meantime, a simple fix for the problem is to effectively turn Dropbox syncing off and then on again within 1Password for Mac to have it properly create the settings file that our mobile apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone 7 require to locate your data file.

Please follow these steps and you should be able to sync without any issues:

• Open and unlock 1Password on your Mac
• Go to 1Password > Preferences > General as you see here:

• Click Stop Using Dropbox and wait for Dropbox to finish syncing to confirm that 1Password has finished moving your data file (that part is important!)
• Once Dropbox finishes syncing, click Use Dropbox
• Wait until Dropbox finishes syncing your data, as you'll see from the Dropbox menu-bar icon:

Once that's done you should find that the mobile apps locate your data file without any issues.
