Hi Roustem
Are you guys planning on keeping the previous licenses issued prior to your purchase of Knox. I just noticed mine no longer is considered valid. Most of the previous license holders were issued keys valid for a lifetime. etc.
I dont have a problem supporting my favorite company :) but this question will get asked by a lot of users once this goes public etc.

Is there some form that we need to fill out with our 1.x user license information so you have the records or is this being transferred to you from The Knox Team? I'm eager to get my license to 2.x so I can access various aspects that are locked with the trial.Flag 0

The exact details are still being worked on. We'll let the existing Knox customers know when it's settled.Flag 0 -
This is an email I received from Marko Today.
I'm writing to you about the Knox license you bought in
June, 2009. This message contains important information
about how you can continue to use Knox, and a brand new 2.0
version, free of charge. I'm sending it to all of our Knox
customers. Please rest assured that this is a one-time special
mailing. Unless you've subscribed to our newsletter, the only
other message you'll receive is your new Knox 2 license key.
We started developing Knox in 2004 -- almost six years ago! --
to scratch our own itches after finding existing file encryption
tools too complex. We wanted something that just did its job and
got out of our way, and so Knox was born. After creating Knox,
we were delighted when so many others found Knox as useful as we
did and a wonderful community was created. We're happy to have
been a part of it.
From those early days of the three of us at MK&C working on Knox,
a lot has changed. Over the years my company has grown to employ
15 stellar Cocoa professionals, and while we still love and use
Knox daily, our primary business is developing Mac, iPhone and
iPad applications for our consultancy clients.
You, our Knox customers, deserve to be served by someone who
focuses on the development of Knox and related security software,
and I'm happy to have found that company in Agile Web Solutions.
I've known Roustem and Dave, Agile's founders, personally for a
couple of years. When they mentioned they were interested in
Knox I knew that it would be in good hands.
So today, I'm happy to announce that Agile Web Solutions has
taken ownership of Knox. Agile will continue its development
and support all existing users.
Here's a quick Q&A to answer some of the immediate questions
that you might have:
Q: Will I need to buy a new license for Knox 2?
A: No, all existing Knox license holders will be given
a free license to Knox 2.
Q: Where do I get my new license?
A: You will receive an email about the new license in
the next few days.
Q: Where can I download the latest version of Knox?
A: The new Knox homepage is http://agile.ws/knox/mac where
you can download Knox 2. We suggest waiting until you have
the new license before upgrading.
Q: How does Knox compare to 1Password?
A: 1Password and Knox both protect your information: Knox
protects your files while 1Password protects your passwords
and automatically logs you into websites. 1Password and
Knox complement each other very well.
Q: Where is the new support forum for Knox?
A: http://agile.ws/s/2b695d46b
Thank you again for helping to make Knox the success that it is!
Marko and all of us at MK&C.Flag 0 -
I'm a long term user of both Knox and 1Password. However, I did not receive the email above concerning the transfer of Knox ownership to Agile Web Solutions. I checked and the email originally used for that license has been replaced since it's been a few years. Will there be a way for us to submit our license key for knox to receive the free upgrade? I do know what that original email was, it's just no longer valid.
Thanks,

Hi Sandi. Please send us an email to support@agile.ws. Please reference this post (or just tell me the info again) so we can "connect the dots". Thanks!Flag 0 -
Tommy, thanks for posting the letter from Marko!
We've gotten several emails asking if the new license keys have gone out yet. They haven't, but hopefully we'll have those ready to go in the next few days. Also, as Marko says, please don't upgrade until you get your new license. Thanks for your patience.Flag 0 -
Darn, I just upgrade already.
Will the licenses be sent out automatically?
Yes, new Knox 2 license key information has been mailed to your "email address on record" for your previous Knox purchase. If you just bought a Knox 2 license from us (Agile Web Solutions) and can send us your Knox 1 invoice to support@agile.ws we'd be happy to look into the specifics and do what we can for you.Flag 0
