Sharing 1Password license between Mac and PC

I am planning to purchase single licenses for 1Password for Mac and 1Password for iPhone. I would also like to be able to access my passwords from a Windows XP laptop. Can the single user license that "allows you to install and use 1Password on as many Macs as you own" be extended to my Windows XP laptop? If not, need I purchase 3 distinct licenses - Mac $40, Windows Beta $20, and iPhone $15 - for a total of $75?

That is my impression and what I have to do to support all 4 (mac, windows 7 under VMWare, iPhone and iPod.

Well worth it to me. These people are great and I understand that they cannot give away the Windows version after incurring all the development costs.

    I agree with Gasport.

While on the front end it seems expensive, what is the value of keeping your passwords encrypted and in sync on multiple devices? Of course we don't have one password, taped underneath our keyboards (do we?). So, with multiple secure passwords, I enjoy having them on all my macs, on my iPhone, wife's iPod, and my Windows (gasp!) machine at work. When I need a login, it's there!

Well worth the investment. Take advantage of the beta early bird discount.

Thanks for all the kind words and support everyone! It is true, there are plenty of development costs in any project. We all at Agile love and appreciate our users. We have the best users on the planet!
  • Thanks for everyone's input. After playing with this product on three platforms over the past week, I've just purchased a Mac, Windows, and iPhone license. The combination of 1Password and Dropbox is working very nicely for me. Now I just need to iron out the kinks of multi-page and some other special web logins used for some of accounts.

If you haven't seen it, we have a tutorial for creating multi-page logins here. Have a look at it and see if it helps. Cheers!
